In memory of Debbie Cowart
Tax deductible
This is to raise money for the Special Olympics. My sister Debbie was an athlete in the Special Olympics for most of her life. She passed away 4 years ago and this is to honor her memory.
Here is a little poem about Debbie and how she affected my life.
Inspired by Debbie Cowart July 2, 1964 – March 1, 2014
Debbie was born with Down ’s syndrome, holes in all four chambers of her heart. I never heard her complain about anything.
When I grow up I want to be like my big sister
Debbie participated in Special Olympics almost her whole life. Not always the fastest or threw the longest, but every time she finished she would shout with joy ‘I Won, I Won!’
When I grow up I want to be like my big sister
Debbie called everyone she met friend, and she meant it! She loved all without question, didn’t care what you had, where you had been, what you had done
When I grow up I want to be like my big sister
Debbie loved to go to Church. She would worship the Lord joyfully with a freedom seldom seen
When I grow up I want to be like my big sister
Debbie is with The Father now, this I truly believe. She is dancing, singing, and praising God all day long.
