Speedway Corridor Mural Project (2024)

Donation protected

We're collaborating with the UA Poetry Center to create 6 new murals along Speedway, between Campbell & Park! This is a grassroots public art project being organized by the artists for the members of the Tucson community. We invite you to take part in creating these murals by making a donation of any amount! We hope to raise $3000 (six times) for each artist, who will design and paint a unique mural that represents their artistic style and is inspired by a poet that is connected to Tucson.

Alley Cat Murals is an organization of artists restoring and revitalizing public spaces in the Tucson area. We focus on curating public art that facilitates community engagement and promotes the development of our participating artists. The Speedway Corridor Mural Project is a long-standing goal of ours. We are inspired by this corridor because it serves as a gateway into the center of our city. We intend to use the walls within this gateway, to introduce visitors to the diverse talent base of Tucson’s mural scene.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider donating and supporting our project. Every bit helps and will yield murals that Tucson can reflect on and feel proud of.

Yours in community,
Alley Cat Murals
