Profile:
Spencer aged 24 and the love of his life Tina aged 21 got married on July 22 2023 after a 7 year deep relationship that led to their wonderful marriage. While they were on their honeymoon they rushed home to go to the ER due to stomach pains. The pains were thought to be maybe indigestion or perhaps just drinking a bit too much at the wedding festivities. It was less than a week later when they were given a possible Lymphoma diagnosis...but his symptoms just weren't looking like Lymphoma as only a short time passed by. The young couple met with the oncologist at Grand River Hospital to find out that Spencer has a very rare type of Cancer called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour. Because of the rarity of this type of Cancer, there are not many doctors that know about this Sarcoma so the prognosis is hard to determine there is no cure. This beautiful couple has had their dreams crushed as they face a big battle, while both are taking time off work to manage the symptoms, visiting in and out of the hospital - ICU unit, and beginning to connect with the team of doctors that are coming together. Tina had 3 courses left to finish University with her Bachelor of Social Work; but Tina could not dream of finishing school at this time and has chosen to take a leave from University as well as her workplace that offered crisis support to many, to be at the side of her love. Spencer was advancing at his workplace and through his apprenticeship in HVAC and had a very promising future until just now. Spencer is the kind of man who shows sincere concern for others, is sensitive and loving, and is loved by many who are all so very saddened by this challenge they are facing. They are ever grateful for any money raised to support their cause; to help find a cure and to fund consultations with other doctors around the world who may have some experience with this type of rare Cancer. They will not be realizing the dreams that they initially had as a newlywed couple but they now focus on finding enough money for any possible Trials that may be available and to pay for consultations with doctors that may have helpful information in managing this devastating news that a young couple with so much to offer the world is facing. The frequent trips to the hospital, transportation, and living costs are adding up. Please consider funding Spencer and Tina by contributing to their GoFundAccount.
