Spencer Pardee's Service Dog Teddy's Vet Bills

Spencer is an autistic teenager and Teddy, a Standard Poodle, is his service dog. They live on a small farm in Southern Michigan with his Father, a farmer, his Mother, a teacher and his younger brother. When Teddy arrived, Spencer was reserved and shy.  For seven years, they have worked together to expand their abilities and have earned numerous AKC obedience, hunting, rally and tracking titles. In 2018 Teddy was acknowledged as the AKC ACE Exemplary Companion Dog and last year this duo became the youngest to earn the AKC tracking titles of TD, TDX, TDU and VST and be awarded the sought after Champion Tracker title.

Teddy became ill several months ago and has been diagnosed with a low platelet count. Platelets are produced in the bone marrow and then released into the blood stream. A severe immune system disease known  as thromboeytopenia that causes the dog's immune system to destroy blood platelets. This requires frequent blood testing, medicine and expensive veterinary procedures.
