Spencer’s dental surgery

Hi everyone,

I have set this go fund me up as a surprise to Bec to try and help her cover some

of the costs involved in Spencer’s upcoming dental procedure.

Recently it has been discovered that Spencer has two lip ties (an upper lip and lower lip tie) as well as a tongue tie. The ties have been missed by doctors at his usual checkups and Bec has had a concern about Spencer’s upper gum for a while and has had these concerns answered by Best Western Dental who specialise in ties in young children and infants.

If the ties aren’t treated they can affect the way Spencer’s mouth develops, can affect his Speech and cause delays as well as other issues in the long run.

Ties are usually treated as infants but can be missed just like in Spencer’s case. As Spencer is 18 months old, they are still willing to do the procedure but as he is older it makes it a little more tricky as they require more help to hold him down and he might put up more of a fight, and for this reason if Bec does not have the procedure done soon they will not attempt to do it until the age of 5. By that stage there is the risk of other dental issues arising due to not having the ties treated earlier.

The procedure will cost $1500 to release the three ties via a water laser.

As Bec is a single mum I know funds can be tight, she is always jumping to help everyone else so I thought I’d try and do this go fund me to try and help her out too.
