Oscar and Heather Saucedo are the sweetest beings you could meet. Their enthusiasm for life and positive outlook has kept them grounded over the past heart-breaking 8 months. Mid 2014, the couple found out they were expecting a baby girl, Aubree, and their world brightened! They began to plan for their new addition and the excitement started to build! What a special gift from God to a beautiful couple full of unconditional love!!! Soon after the great news, Oscar decided to go to the doctor after weeks of stomach pains and failed doctors appointments, only to discover that he had stomach cancer. They were in complete dismay. Heather, pregnant and fighting to help her husband beat cancer, soon developed complications with her pregnancy. She had too much amniotic fluid and the doctors were afraid she would have a stillbirth. Doctors painted a grim picture for the birth of their baby girl; so many medical issues were possible. The couple kept their faith and continued to fight for the health of not only Oscar, but their baby girl. Born premature and immediately needing to be resuscitated, Aubree is with us today after 50 days in the NICU. She is still battling a list of health conditions including respiratory issues, a large heart murmur, difficulty swallowing so she is on a feeding tube, physical under-developments, vision loss, possible hearing loss, and partial paralysis in her face. Today she had to have emergency surgery to distract her jaw so that her airway would expand and help her breath. She is a fighter like her dad, Oscar, whom is still battling cancer. Oscar goes for chemo multiple times a week for 6-7 hours at a time and on the days he is not in for chemo, he is receiving IV fluids. Heather and Oscar are now on very limited incomes. As Oscar continues to battle cancer, the family is unsure of when he will be able to return back to work and with Aubree's conditions, Heather is unsure when she will be back to work. They have downsized into a small one bedroom apartment to consolidate expenses, but medical bills are piling up and  small expenses, like groceries and gas, are becoming even more of a worry.  The family could use all of the financial support, prayers, and positive thoughts you can send them. Thank you for praying and donating to such a beautiful and deserving family; they are bright lights in this world.
