Spiers Family Fire Recovery Fund

I have been friends with Kelly Spiers for over 4 years. Let me tell you, she is an amazing person. She would literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She always has a positive outlook, even when things are going badly. 


Recently, Kelly gave birth to her third child, a beautiful daughter named Moriah. Mori was born prematurely and spent a couple months in the NICU; happily, after much hard work from the doctors at Duke paired with lots of prayers, Mori came home in September!


Life had finally began to settle down for the Spiers family when tragedy struck again. On the evening on Wednesday, November 16, the family home caught on fire. Luckily, no one was home and everyone was safe, but most of the family’s possessions were lost to the blaze.


I would like to help the Spiers family raise at least $2500 to help with their immediate needs following the devastating loss of their home. This will help them buy new clothes, personal comfort items, and necessities while they wait for their insurance claim to be completed.


Kelly and her family will have direct access to this account and will make the withdrawals directly, so no money will need to change hands. The money will go directly to the Spiers family.
