Spinal Cord Treatment for Anthony Cosby

Anthony Cosby is an energetic 27-year-old personal trainer who enjoys helping people create and live a healthier lifestyle and lives in Statesboro, Georgia. He attended Georgia Southern University, where his major was Exercise Science. On April 13, 2021, Anthony sustained a major spinal cord injury in a swimming pool incident. He hit his shoulder in an awkward position on the bottom of the pool, causing six of his vertebrae to damage his spinal cord. His body went limp immediately and he remained at the bottom of the pool for period of time. He was rushed to the local hospital and later transferred to Augusta University Medical, where he could not walk or use his arms and hands. The doctor says he will never be at 100% again. We are optimistic that he will gain use of his legs and hands again. He will require spinal cord surgery in two months to try to correct his immobility. In the meantime, he will need to be in an inpatient rehabilitation center for spinal cord injuries. Here’s where we could use your help, the cost of these rehab centers are up to $30K per week. Anthony will require 2-3 weeks of rehab. We are praying for Anthony to have access to a facility that specializes in spinal cord rehabilitation.
