Spindle Cell Sarcoma treatment for 20 y.o Mya

Donation protected
Hello all,

Although so young, I have seen cancer take and take and take. Watching my grandfather struggle on his deathbed from the vicious cycle of cancer was traumatizing. Cancer doesn’t discriminate: it is a disease that affects everyone regardless of social status, race, gender, religion, and sexuality. Cancer is an issue for us all. We all have the right to receive optimal care.

Today, I received the shocking news that my loved one, Mya , has been diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma. It is a rare cancer that affects only 2-5% of sarcoma patients and occurs in people over 40. Mya, a young 20-year-old, is now being forced to fight this battle at such an innocent age.

She is the sole provider of her family of four and now has to deal with the bills of cancer treatment. I am still a college student, and I plan on putting in every goddamn penny I have in my bank account to help her afford her treatment. This deplorable condition has forced her to halt her college studies and work, preventing her from being able to earn further money and pursue a better career.

Mya is more than just my loved one, she is the reason why I push forward in life. She is from a small town in Michigan and has worked tooth and nail to get where she is today. Although having an impoverished childhood, she managed to work hard and earn enough to rent a home and provide for her two siblings, mother, and grandmother.
Her energy is contagious, bringing a smile to anyone she talks to. She is caring, and loving, and has always put others first.

I understand that this is a steep goal and that money is tight for a lot of people. All I ask if you cannot afford to donate is to spread the word. Prevent cancer from taking another life at such a young age. Mya deserves to live a whole life free of cancer. No 20-year-old should be subject to receiving the news of having cancer. Thank you so much in advance.

Every dollar donated will be used to afford sarcoma treatment at the Dana Farber treatment facility in Boston, MA.

Best,
Adam
