Spirit Walls: Black AF Edition
Spirit Walls: Black AF Edition
as part of an on-going dialectic with the Black art community in Pittsburgh on creating a more inclusive and open Pittsburgh art scene, this year the Spirit Walls platform will turned over entirely to an all-star roster of local Black artists & muralists to create a collaborative street art piece in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.
Because of the crisis presented by covid-19, our normal sponsors are unable to assist in the same way as they have in the years prior, so we're turning to People Power to get this project supplied & artists paid--with leftover funds being rolled into a series of similar events throughout the summer in coordination with Hemispheric Conversations Urban Art Project, Rivers of Steel & the Fiasco Center.
