Idali's Medical Fund-Brain Aneurysm
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Diana Esparza and I am asking for your help raising money for my dearly loved aunt Idali Castillo. Idali suffered 2 strokes this past weekend, April 18, 2015. After a few tests it was determined that she has a brain aneurysm that ruptured. I was devastated when I heard this news, but knew I had to keep my faith! She is currently at a government sponsored hospital in Mexico where she lives. In order to move her to a private hospital where she can receive more attentive care, the private hospital and her health insurance requires a 20,000 pesos deductible, plus 10% of all medical costs. This is approximately $13,000 (US), plus 10% of medical costs. In Mexico, that’s a large amount of money that my family would have a difficult time raising. Idali’s life is valuable and I would hate for her not to get the best care because of money. I felt the urgent need to do something and ask for help (it’s hard to do but my aunt deserves it). I think there is a power in numbers and I ask that you find it in your heart to donate any amount you can (every little bit will count). Your help is sincerely treasured by Idali and our family.
A little bit about Idali:
Idali is 40 years old and has an 8 year old son named Angel. She was born in Mexico and came to live with me and my family in the U.S. when she was 13 years old. She helped my single mom raise my brother and I. I always viewed her as my sister more than an aunt because of our 10 year age difference and our close relationship. Idali was born with muscular dystrophy and we spent a lot of weekends with her in the hospital. I remember she had hip surgery when she was in high school and spent 3 months bedridden. Eventually her muscles became so weak that she had to use crutches to walk. Idali has always had these challenges but she has always overcome them and kept her funny sense of humor. I was heartbroken that after almost 15 years of living with my family, she was moving back to Mexico, but it was meant to be that way because now she has her son Angel. Idali works at a University in an administrative position and goes to school full-time to try to get her degree and make a better life for her and her son.
So far she seems to have some memory loss, but we have faith that she will fully recover. I would love for her to get back to her son. We ask that you keep her in your prayers.
With great gratitude and humbleness,
Diana Esparza and the Castillo family
