Sponsor a Female Farmworker for $125

Hola, I am Darlene Tenes, founder of the Farmworker Caravan and I am asking you to donate $125 to sponsor one agricultural worker to attend our Conference and Camesinas en Paz retreat July 28 - 30, 2023 at Saint Francis Retreat Center in San Juan Bautista, CA.

On Saturday we will bring together nonprofit, private and government agencies, legislators, growers and farmworkers to discuss and learn from each other about what is happening in the industry. We have invited 20 farmworker leaders to speak directly with politicians, nonprofit and community leaders in an intimate setting to share the challenges, needs and stories from their community. On Sunday, Campesinas en Paz will focus on a one-day retreat, open to all female farmworkers to relax, refresh, reflect and rejuvenate their spirit. Our goal is to provide a space for these leaders to become stronger advocates, service providers and leaders in Farmworker Equity. See Agenda

The Farmworker Caravan and The Franciscans will cover 50% of the cost of the conference and retreat for farmworkers. We need you to sponsor:

20 Farmworkers @$250 = $5,000

200 Female Farmworker @$125 = $25,000

TOTAL: $30,000

Funds will be used towards meals, education, accommodations, transportation stipend, supplies, translators, entertainment, gift bags and more. More Info
