$10 is all ot takes to Sponsor a Soldier!!!

This WWII Monument has certainly seen better days!! Dustin's Adventureland is joining forces with Amvets Post 180 and the local Boy Scouts to revamp and beautify this monument and surrounding area.

The sign is all but faded away, names are gone, wood backing is dry rotted, parts of the sign are missing and these Veterans deserve to be honored and have their name on display. This monument has over 160 names of WWII Veterans who lived in a 4 block radius of the monument. We have had quotes of up to $7,000 to re do this monument and we chose to go with a nice new set of signage, repoint some concrete, paint fence and flag pole, update flower holders, pressure wash, and lighting. With the help of the above mentioned groups along with Womer Landscaping, Uncle Dunkel Rentals and Kelly Print and Embroidery we have the cost down to $1700. We also have the blessing and support of the Pottsville Housing Authority, whose property it sits on.

If we can get 167 people to sponsor a soldier at $10 each, it will cover the costs that we need to raise to get this done. We would like to complete this and have it unveiled for the Memorial Day Parade on May 30th, 2022. We appreciate all of your support and if we raise more than the goal, the remaining funds will be given to Amvets Post 180 for upkeep of their property.
