Sponsor a tradie

The most important thing after getting everyone fed and physically safe is getting roofs back over peoples heads and making houses liveable again. There are SO many displaced people and families in the Northern Rivers at the moment that need your help. There was already a housing crisis before tens of thousands of homes were made unliveable/wiped out by the floods. This housing crisis just became a housing catastrophe.

The money from this fundraiser will help pay the tradies that want to help in the disaster zones whilst getting paid/earning an income for their personal food, fuel and bills. We will be targeting low income house holds without flood insurance to help rebuild! Anything left in the house could cause further damage since the flood water contains harmful bacteria leading to further health issues and further damage to the houses due to mould.

There is also a big shortage of building materials (even before the floods) which we will need in the coming weeks so any donations of materials are also extremely welcome. I have friends with freighting company’s that will be bringing up materials from Sydney and Melbourne so if you have any contacts in the construction industries in the city please reach out. Some people that are in the position to miss work without receiving financial support including myself will be donating there time, but lots of people I know that want to help aren’t in a financial position to do so. 

This fundraiser will aim to pay these tradies and skilled labourers at least $30 dollars an hour or half their regular wage. I can organise free accommodation if your keen to work at least 5 days a week. We need skilled workers more than anything right now and any help is welcome and urgently needed.

These are times where everyone simply needs to act with selflessness and help people where ever you physically or financially can. If you are able to—- get out and help people!!!


April Update- After having helped over 100 houses and nearly sending myself broke by not working for nearly a month when the floods came. 
We are having a break from flood work until the time comes ( houses dry out enough )  to rebuild. Any funds now donated will go to re building some kitchens and bathrooms of a few people houses we find to help. We hope to rebuild at least 10 houses this year and we have the been offered vanity units and kitchen benches ect to do so. All funds donated will be for labour and other materials needed.
