Sponsor an Iftaar

Coventry University Islamic Society is raising funds to provide free iftaar to students during the holy month of Ramadan. 

It is customary during Ramadan for people to break their fast together with family and friends. However, on campus many students will be spending their first Ramadan away from home. We therefore hope to provide the opportunity for students to break their fast together. This year in particular Ramadan will enter during the exam period so there will be more students on campus who will be focusing on their studies.

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”  

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 807. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6415.
