I'm crossing Scotland for refugees and rewilding!

Donation protected
I'm walking and wild camping along the John Muir Way this Summer. A 215km route that cuts across the breadth of Scotland, from Helensburgh in the west to Dunbar in the east. This journey should take around 11 days.

I am hoping to raise at least £1000 to split between 2 charities:

No Name Kitchen
An small NGO run by volunteers in Serbia and Bosnia, providing essential support to refugees and those living on the border. The charity provides food, medical attention, hygiene provisions and advocacy for the community.

John Muir Trust
A Scottish charity that is committed to protecting and restoring wild places, as well as engagement with local communities with natural processes. You can find out more about what projects they are involved with on their website.

As No Name Kitchen is registered in Spain, I have not been able to find a charity donation platform which will send the funds directly to them. Of the money received by this fundraiser, 70% will go to NNK and 30% will go to JMT.

As I venture along the route I will be posting daily updates to my Instagram feed @veryzoemitch so please follow how I get on! You will still be able to donate while I am doing the walk.

Please donate what you can! Both of these charities are doing important work for both people and planet so every donation is precious

If you aren't able to donate money, please share my fundraiser and pray for good weather on my walk...
