Hidat lost her parents when she was 2 years of age. her father was Oromo ethnic group and her mother was from Tigray ethnic group. The ruling regime killed her parents due to their political opinion; Her dad was member of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF). her relatives put her in Ethiopian Orthodox Church Child Care Centre /EOC CCC, and she grew there as an orphan. The Child Care Centre was assisted by one of the largest German Children’s rights organizations called Kindernothilfe (KNH). It was founded by Mr. Rudolf Luotse and was focused on assisting vulnerable and marginalized children like hidat. she had two brothers. One of them called Mehari Tesfaye was in prison due to his political opinion and died while he was in prison. Another brother called Tadesse Tesfaye died in Saudi Arabia. When she became 17 years old, she left the childcare Centre and went to Arsi Negele and started to make a living by selling tea and coffee. The cadres of the ruling regime continued intimidating and harassing her falsely alleging her as a supporter of OLF; she was detained on October 10, 2014 for 2 months in Arsi Prison Centre. so, please sponsor hidat to settle.
