In July 2017 the Crossroads.tv Missions team will be returning to the Dominican Republic to install 30 water filtration systems in the remote and impoverished village's of Batey #7 and El Jobo. These water filtration systems will meet the day-to-day needs of 30 large families and their friends. This $50 filter will remove the bacteria, protozoa and micro-organisms from contaminated water sources making it completely safe to drink. No electricity or batteries are needed and the filter will clean 150 gallons of water per day!
Families will no longer have to choose between purchasing clean water or using their minimal wages for other daily necessities such as food and shelter. Without clean drinking water, there is no possible way for these families to break out of the cycle of poverty.
