Sponsoring Ukrainian English Teachers' Learning

Hi, my name is Eli and I am a founding member of Canguro English Academy, which runs online English language courses: https://canguroenglish.com/academy/ The Academy is fee-paying, but its profits are donated to a US-based global school building program, Pencils of Promise (PoP) https://pencilsofpromise.org/ The Academy has already contributed to the building of a rural school in Laos.

The Academy has taken on several Ukrainian members and given them free courses. However, in order to be able to make donations to the PoP school building projects, it needs to receive more subscription fees. And that is where you come in. Through your donations, we can help Ukrainian English teachers get into the Academy and, at the same time, raise more money for the next PoP school.

We have identified 9 Ukrainian English teachers whose participation in the Academy’s activities could help enhance both their language and pedagogical skills. This is because the highly innovative and creative sessions support both improved language skills and also provide a model for teachers to run similar activities in their own classes (online or face-to-face). So, the money raised here would go to paying the subscription fees (USD 50.00 per teacher per month) for the 9 teachers for six months. In this way, the donations received from you will work twice over: they will provide 9 Ukrainian teachers with an opportunity for professional development and all of your donations (except for GoFundMe’s fees) will go to a highly efficient and successful school building program in the Global South.
