Sponsoring Women CppCon 2018 Attendees

Donation protected
The goal of #include <cpp> is to help make the C++ community more inclusive. One axis we would like to explore, is helping inclusivity organizations raise money to send people to CppCon.

We have been in contact with the Women in Tech Fund and with the CppCon organizers and with every $250 we raise, we'll be able to provide one CppCon ticket to a woman (trans or cis) who would not otherwise attend.

The initial goal of our campaign was to raise $1250 USD to cover the cost of 5 tickets, provided at a discount by CppCon. We quickly passed that goal, but we're continuing to raise funds so that we can offer travel assistance to those who we award tickets to. Airfare and lodging for CppCon typically costs $1300-2500 USD ($1100 USD for lodging, $200-$700 USD for domestic flights, $500-1200 USD for international flights). If we're able to raise $9000 USD, we should be able to cover most of the travel expenses of those who are awarded tickets.

The Women in Tech Fund is administering the distribution of the tickets. The application can be found here  - please encourage your colleagues and friends to apply!
