Creating 'Spoonie Survival Kits'
Donation protected
I am currently looking for kind donations towards a project I am starting to raise money for charity. The idea is to make little bags of happiness that can be sent to people with chronic illnesses. 'Spoonie' is the slang word for chronic illness sufferers, hence I will be making 'Spoonie Survival Kits'. These will be little bags containing treats, charms, things to do etc. that will hopefully put a smile on sufferers' faces. Chronic illness can be such an isolating and lonely experience for sufferers, and so I'm hoping these bags will remind people that they are not alone, and that somebody cares.
I am searching for donations to buy materials and things to go in the bags. Once they are made up they will be sold, with 25% of funds going towards creating new bags, and 75% of funds going towards Action for M.E. This is a charity that promotes awarenss of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, something I have recently been diagnosed with (but have lived with for 5+ years) , and all money goes towards promoting research and campaigning for investment in finding a cure. You can read more about the charity here: www.actionforme.org.uk.
I would be sooooo super grateful for any donations, no matter how large or small they are. I am also looking for donations from businesses and Etsy shops, who I can thank by promoting their business as part of my project!
