Donate to Village in India for Recreational Area
Donation protected
Hello all,
We are a group of high school kids from Menlo School, Atherton, California, and our goal is to raise money for a tribal village, Chandala, in Maharashtra, India.
To give some background, we are all sophomores who love to play sports. Whether it's football, basketball, lacrosse, or baseball, we love the thrill mixed with the values and lessons that come with it. However, we realized that children aren't always as privileged as we are and, unfortunately, lack the resources to play sports.
Over the summer, we had the opportunity to meet these kids and bond with them over Zoom. What stood out was how different their lives are compared to ours. Many of these kids are forced to work at a young age, taking away their opportunity for a proper education. Furthermore, they lack the resources for recreational activities.
The fundraised money will be used to buy sports equipment and lighting for a recreational area for sports like volleyball and kabaddi. This project will be completed with the help and supervision of Satish Pawar (Raj's uncle), a Sports Teacher at Anudanit Ashram School, Chandala.
We hope you will consider donating to us for this cause; thank you in advance!
