Sports wheelchairs are Wheelie needed in Lubbock!
Tax deductible
Purchasing sports wheelchairs is an expensive endeavor and we need your help!
We need to purchase 6 sports chairs so our athletes can participate in adaptive recreation and sports. Socially, sports wheelchairs help people participate in a sports activity with their peers that do not have disabilities like tennis or help them become part of a new group of athletes that have disabilities like tennis & basketball.
Everyone deserves the chance to play have the opportunity to improve their health & fitness through recreation and sports, and be part of a team. Help us help them!
West Texas Pro Tennis and South Plains Adaptive Recreation Club (SPARC) are teaming up and we are asking the community for your help us bring health and fitness to individuals with disabilities in the West Texas.
West Texas Pro Tennis is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our mission is to support and promote the health and well-being of men, women, and children through sports. Our goal is to promote tennis at all levels in the local community and provide a safe, friendly environment for players of all levels and abilities.
South Plain Adaptive Recreation Club (SPARC) is a non-profit organization run by community volunteers whose aim is to bring fitness, fun, and friendships to individuals with disabilities in the Lubbock community. SPARC had its first wheelchair dodgeball event in November of 2015. We have expanded to include ultimate frisbee, basketball, and bocce ball. We are now teaming up with West Texas Pro Tennis, another non-profit organization, to bring wheelchair tennis to Lubbock. SPARC welcomes anyone and can be followed on Facebook. SPARC had a team that went to Amarillo to participate in a wheelchair basketball tournament and we were also featured in a segment of I Beat Pete on KCBD!
