Sports Byline's Interview Library
Donation protected
Help me and Sports Byline preserve more than 12 000 one-of-a-kind interviews. Let’s give future generations the gift of inspiring and life-changing stories from true sports heroes.
Hi!
I'm Ron Barr, and I love sports!
28 years ago I founded Sports Byline USA - the first sports talk network in America. I wanted to let sports fans across the nation call in, and speak directly with their heroes. Over the last three decades, I've had the honor of having heartfelt conversations with some of the greatest people in sports. Together with our listeners, I've heard some truly amazing and personal stories, that we would never have heard anywhere else.
These timeless stories have inspired sports fans and athletes alike for years, but many of these great memories might one day be forgotten. Stored away on degrading tapes and analogue media, it’s becoming harder and harder to share these stories.
Truly inspiring stories are meant to be told, shared, and passed on – not stashed away and forgotten.
We want to bring all of these interviews into the digital age. We don’t just want to save them from being lost to time - we want to make sure these memories can live on, and be retold and shared with the sports fans of tomorrow.
We're not just caretakers - we're storytellers. We don't just want to build an archive - we want to build a living, breathing body of work that shows how timeless and ever-relevant these inspiring stories really are. The money we raise this holiday season will go towards preserving the entire library of sports memories at Sports Byline, and also towards future productions retelling these stories and enriching sports culture of today and tomorrow.
We want to let our greatest sports heroes live on through the stories they share with us.
With your kind donation, you’ll help us pass these stories on to future generations. So please, help us share these timeless stories by donating whatever you can, and by spreading the word to your friends about the work we’re doing. Every little bit helps.
Let’s give future generations the gift of awe, inspiration, and joy.
Together, we can let heroes live forever.
