In 2020 in Canada alone, the mortality rate for addiction had already doubled by June.
People struggling with addiction and mental health need accessible, affordable support now more than ever. That is why I am launching Spotlight Recovery: A YouTube channel entirely dedicated to recovery coaching for people dealing with these illnesses.
I have been in recovery since February 19th, 2012 and have been working with one of the largest addiction treatment providers in Canada as a counsellor for the majority of that time. I also have an extensive educational background in social work, and have experience in YouTube channel development, audio/video editing, and social media marketing. I am the right person for the job.
I cannot do this without your support. Even $1 will help, and sharing this link with your friends and family will help even more. Please watch the intro video attached for the full breakdown of the vision for the channel, and exactly what you will be contributing to.
By supporting this initiative, not only will you be helping create a platform that literally does not exist, it will help change the lives of countless suffering people. Moreover it will allow me to dedicate my time to the project.
All the funds raised will firstly go to covering the costs of all the equipment necessary to create the content including audio/video recording equipment, software, an at home office set up, and a computer. The remaining funds will be to cover the costs associated with getting a business license, incorporation, marketing to promote the content, and personal salary to ensure the content keeps coming.
I can't put into words how much your support will mean to me by launching this resource. Entering recovery literally saved my life. Now it's my turn help impact the lives of others. Please help make this dream become a reality.
