Spotlight Children's Theater- Stage

"Because Every Child Needs the Chance to Shine"

Spotlight Children's Theater is a community based theater program designed especially for children and youth. With funding for the arts dwindling, we wanted all children to experience the thrill of being in the spotlight so, in the spring of 2013 Spotlight Children's Theater was born. Our mission is to give all children the opportunity to perform on a stage and be in the spotlight.  Our goal has always been to give the children in our community a way to grow in self confidence and heighten their creativity.

We have grown and expanded far beyond our expectations over the last year. Two years ago we started with 1 summer show. This year we produced 5 musicals and next year we will produce 10 musicals. We have also started a theater school and now have over 50 students, 6 part time employees and a new theater. "Spotlight" has given hundreds of children “the chance to shine”!

The next step in this adventure is our most significant to date. We will be putting up a stage in our theater on Pages Lane in Centerville, Utah.  We envision our Spotlight stage to be one that the whole community can use. We want to provide an affordable space for everyone to shine and share their talents.  All the money donated will go directly to the building  of a stage, sound system, and lighting needed to produce a great show. We want to make sure we have the right space for students to learn and grow.
