Folks, it's time again that I ask that you help fund collective justice and community values.
Our values and our communities are under threat by those who want to remove diversity from our schools and shut out people of color.
The picture of the poster, saying, "Everyone is welcomed here," is not political. It's human.
According to this excerpt from this article from KTVB, such statements are mere "opinion."
"According to Inama, school officials informed her that the signs were considered personal opinions in today's political climate. 'They told me that they were in violation of district policy because in today's political environment they're considered a personal opinion,' Inama stated."
The teacher initially complied but later replaced the signs, believing they represented core values of public education. In response, district officials cited both internal policy and Idaho's Dignity and Nondiscrimination in Public Education Act as justification for the removal.
So what are we going to do about it? We're going to slap that poster on t-shirts and hand them out to students for free with your help.
I've attached a second photo. T-Zers of Meridian has courageously offered us a good deal on making those shirts for $5.85 to $6.50.
My goal is to at least make $5,200 to make enough shirts for all 800 plus students at Lewis and Clark Middle School. But we can make enough that any student in Ada County or any other county in Idaho can also have one.
It is no opinion. We certainly all are welcomed here. America is the melting pot. All children deserve to go to school. Thank you so much in advance.

My name is Danny Kyle and I'm just the one raising funds to pay for the bulk order of shirts with T-Zers. My mom is a teacher at centennial high in Ada County. I'm just a concerned fellow citizen! Those Shirts will be given to the teacher union and teachers will help distribute them. The additional funds will be given directly to the teacher union (WAEA)
