Spreading Neighborly Love for the Perry's

Early Friday evening, February 12th, the home of my longtime across-the-street neighbors, Judge and Joan Perry, lost their home to a fire - everything burned. Praises to God that they got out and are not harmed. They are currently with their daughter.

The Perry's have been a staple in the neighborhood for over 40 years; and through the years have been there for our community in many ways - hosting neighborhood Meet & Greets to ensure we all knew one another, leading the 4th of July Parade, a "safe" Halloween house bringing smiles to all our children, Judge as Santa Claus, and also being there with us through the not so good times.
Today is one of those times and we want to be there for Judge and Joan just as they've been there for us. So many neighbors have asked how they can help - the wheels have already been set into motion.

Judge is a retired teacher and administrator in the Mesquite ISD dedicating 32 years to leaving an indelible impact on so many students that hold him in high regard to this day. Joan has been an active member of many community organizations, including the community garden and several book clubs.
We so appreciate and love Judge and Joan Perry. It's our turn to give back to them during their time of need.
