Spreading the Good News of the Gospel

I just received notice that the Christians in the farming community of Kaduna state are being massacred by the Muslim Fulani tribesmen. Thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes and farms (the photos are too graphic to post). This is being underreported (if reported at all). This is one of the villages that Linus ministers to. He is safe but reports that it is very "scary." Today we sent another box of rosaries and prayer aids to him. The villagers look forward to his visits (especially the children) as he spends time distributing rosaries and praying with the people. Please keep Linus and the people in your prayers. Also, please continue to support this effort and help by spreading the word and the link. We will continue to send Linus the materials he needs as long as our funds hold out.
Some of my brother Deacons and our wives have befriended a spiritual young man in Africa who is responding to God’s call to the priesthood, and we assist him financially as we can in his humanitarian mission work. After four years of study, he will receive his Batchelor of Arts degree in Philosophy Next month and continue with his theological studies on the path to receiving the sacrament of Holy Orders.
Driven by the Holy Spirit and his intense love of God and devotion to our Blessed Mother, he begins each day with Mass and daily reflections on Sacred Scripture. He shares his reflections with friends all over the world. He uses the rosary as a powerful spiritual tool for meditation.
Our friend has a spiritual hunger to help the poor and the needy and spreads the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the villages he visits and he encourages devotion to our Blessed Mother through praying the rosary. He instructs adults and children alike that the gentle repetition of its prayers makes it an excellent way to deepen meditation, open hearts to God’s word, and keep all who embrace this devotion focused on the life of Jesus. While giving instruction about this beautiful devotion he distributes rosaries whenever and wherever he can. He comforts the sick with his prayerful presence and all look forward to his visits and his sharing of his faith and love of God and our Blessed Mother. He embraces the gift of community building as he holds God very near to his heart and keeps God at the center of his mission work.
We Deacons and our wives have come to his aid to help him financially in his ministry when we can. The purpose of this Go Fund Me page is to continue a tradition of assisting him since the expenses of providing spiritual prayer aides continue to increase. We hope you will consider contributing to this mission of planting the Word of God and cultivating the soil of prayer in the hearts of those our seminarian friend encounters.
