Spruce Pine Strong

**Update**

10/1 our guys are in town distrusting supplies and making runs back-and-forth to Morganton North Carolina to purchase more supplies, gas food and water. We also have some fellas helping with search and rescues. It’s really bad y’all!

9/30 We have one truck & enclosed trailer with supplies that arrived in Spruce Pine Sunday night. It took all day to get there, but they finally made it! Thank God for safe travels . We have another truck leaving this morning with supplies. Please continue to pray for safe travels.

The greatest needs are clean drinking water, food and filled gas cans. Personal hygiene products along with diapers and wipes, hand sanitizer, batteries, flash lights, candles, lighters, portable grills, charcoal, propane tanks, tarps, sleeping bags, blankets, pet food, feminine products, Advil/Tylenol, trash bags, bagged chips, pop top canned food, canned sodas, towels, pillows, tents, toilet paper, paper plates, cups and napkins. Thank you all for your help & support! We have another drop planned for Thursday!

I am Vanessa Vollmer. My husband, Russ, and I own Rustic Roots farm-to-table restaurant in Bunn, NC. We bought our vacation home in Spruce Pine two years ago. It’s our most favorite place in the world and where we find rest and feel closer to God. We love Spruce Pine and our neighbors there. Hurricane Helene has devastated Western North Carolina.

Our friends and loved ones in Spruce Pine and surrounding areas are without power, cell service, gas, food, water, and rescue. So many are stranded or unheard from.

Our mission is to bring in food and supplies, locate loved ones, and help with rescue efforts. We have a satellite phone that can be used to call for emergency medical assistance and a line of communication down the mountain. We are asking for monetary donations to purchase food, water, and supplies for those in need. If you would like to donate or volunteer, please reach out to us!

Update: We have a team of volunteers organizing now to travel to Spruce this evening. Looking for best routes of access.
