I'M COMING HOME!
Donation protected
Hi its Beck & Mick, as you may know our son Jake Ferrier was in a tragic accident back in May this year. Now after 6 long months in hospital Jake has been given the clear to come home. We were hoping for before Xmas but we just found out our landlord has given us notice to move out when our lease runs out in early January. Not good timing for us or for Jake as he will have to wait until we can find a suitable place for all of us to live.
The reason behind this fundraiser is to help Jake with extra therapies when he gets home and to also help us all find another house to live together as a family.
Jakes Story: Back on the 7th May 2022 Jake aged 24 at the time had a tragic accident doing what he loved...skating! He is known by so many people in the community from working at the skate rink for around 12 years, teaching kids to skate and being a DJ. Jake was rushed to hospital for major brain surgery and was in a coma for quite some time. Drs told us on many occassions that we were going to have to make some choices that we did not want to even think about. We never gave up on him. Months of the unknown how he was going to recover or even if he would. Fast forward to today Jake is very much alert, interacting, understands everything, has only use of one side of his body, can communicate a smile for yes and shakes his head for no, just started to eat and drink, plays and interacts with his son, still has his funny sense of humour by mucking around with everyone. He is very excited to be coming home! We have been told that with extensive therapy he will walk again and we pray we will also hear his voice again.
When Jake finally returns home he will need more therapy than what he will be provided with hence the reason for us creating this fundraiser. If you can help in anyway it would be much appreciated. If you are unable to donate that is ok x then please share and send healing thoughts Jake's way for a full recovery.
