Hold the SPU Board Legally Accountable!
Donation protected
SPU community members have actively been protesting the Board of Trustees' decision to uphold discriminatory employment policies against the LGBTQIA+ community. We are raising money for our lawsuit against the BoT for failing to act in the best interest of SPU. Legal fees for cases such as these can cost well over $175,000 so we THANK YOU for your help!
At this point, groups within SPU have taken almost every measure they can to hold the Board accountable, with no success in changing SPU's discriminatory policies. We believe that legal action is the best course of action moving forward and are actively compiling evidence that highlights the numerous ways the Board's decision has harmed the school and its community.
Funds are currently going to an alumni-organized LLC (OUR COMMUNITY PROTEST LLC) formed for the express purpose of paying legal fees for this case. Our lawsuit has been filed and a hearing will be in February. All funds go directly to pay for the legal action against SPU Board members for their breach of fiduciary duty.
