David Yee

David Yee is a fellow VIPKID teacher. 2018 has been a difficult year for him and his family with many hospital stays for both his daughters. Recently, David himself was hospitalized and found out that his blood cancer is out of remission. The symptoms from this cancer prevent him from working the hours he needs to support his disabled wife and daughters. He and his family has had ongoing medical issues until now, 2020. 

David has helped me and countless others in VIPKID to become better teachers. He has freely given us his insights to help us understand how to relate to our students' families. He has even made a video with lots of advice on how to write better feedback to our students' parents. 

This fund was solely my idea, with David's permission. This is to give David some assistance while he is adjusting to his new normal. It is also a way for me to thank him for helping me and so many of his fellow teachers.
