Paul's Heart Transplant Fund
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
This fundraising is set up to help cover my brother-in-law, Paul Villanueva, and his family's unexpected medical and travel expenses as he awaits a heart transplant.
My brother-in-law is only 51 years old and worked full time as a radiologic technologist at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Llano, Texas. He is the breadwinner of the family. His wife, Noemi, is a housewife and their daughter, Katrina, is a college student. Paul worked full time at the hospital up until early November 2020, when he started not feeling well and was suddenly hospitalized with a diagnosis of Acute Heart Failure.
After temporary heart devices and different treatment courses, their family was told that a heart transplant was the only viable solution for a full recovery. Paul was to be placed on the top of the waiting list for a heart transplant but unfortunately, it was found out that he was allergic to the heparin he was on and now has to wait three months before he can be put on the list to allow his antibodies to calm down.
Paul's family is originally from Llano, Texas, a small quiet town with a beautiful community. However, they had to temporarily relocate to Temple, Texas, which is about 100 miles away as Paul continues to stay in the hospital there. His wife Noemi and daughter Katrina are staying nearby in a hotel. The doctors have advised the family to stay in the Temple area as Paul remains in close observation as he awaits a heart transplant. In the meantime, they still have to maintain their utilities and bills at their other residence.
Paul and his family are facing many worries and uncertainties of their future, and I hope that by doing this fundraising, it will alleviate some of those burdens and worries.
Thank you for your time and support.
God Bless.
