Help a Dedicated Working Mother Through Tough Times
Hi, as you know, I really don't like asking for help. But I suddenly got very sick recently and then ended up in the hospital for nearly a week. I was admitted with acute liver and kidney failure, water in the lungs, and severe colitis. I only thought it was a bad migraine episode, but I nearly died. I am not feeling quite myself yet, and the doctors believe I shouldn't return to work just yet. As well as multiple doctor's appointments and such. I had to return to the ER and found out I have an additonal life threatening medical issues know as DVT/PE. I have to take 4 shots a day as well as another medication. One of the medications is $800. I'm so exhausted and don't want to be sick anymore, but I'm doing my best to recover as quickly as possible.
If you don't know me, I work at the USPS. Sadly, I am on LWOP, so this leaves me unable to pay for my rent and bills. I will not have any hours to have money. I am unable to work until Oct 9th. This leaves me with two months of rent as well as trying to pay bills, repair my car, and buy food for our household. I am the sole provider and do not receive any help or assistance from the state or anything.
I am feeling so desperate I don't know what to do. So this is a last hope for me. I am still doing what I can to find help, but I don't qualify for anything so far. Please, anything helps, and I appreciate you.
Thank you.
