Don Lewis - Missing Person Reward Fund

Our Dad, Don Lewis, became a ‘missing person’ in August 1997, when, following a series of suspicious events, he vanished without a trace. We believe he was last seen on his property in Tampa, Florida, where he had created and ran a wildlife sanctuary.  Since Dad’s current wife of six years never called to inform us that he was missing, nor ask if we had seen our Dad, his friend and assistant of 18 years called to break the tragic news, one week after he went missing. She did not want us to find out from the local evening news broadcast. Our Dad was a resourceful, hardworking entrepreneur and although he started penniless in life, he founded several successful businesses and was worth about six million dollars at the time of his disappearance.  As a missing person, and no body as evidence, Dad’s wife was able to control the vast majority of his estate until he was legally declared dead in August 2002. 

 

For 23 years, we have suffered and grieved, not knowing what happened to Dad that fateful August.  His birthday, Father’s Day, and the date of his missing prove particularly difficult each year. With the renewed interest in his case, due greatly to the overwhelming response from the Tiger King series, we are finally hopeful someone will come forward with some type of reliable knowledge. Just to know what happened to Dad would help to bring long overdue closure to our family.

 

Thus, we are establishing a reward fund, held aside and designated for anyone providing information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his death. No family member will receive any of these donated funds.
