Squash the Gender Pay Gap!

Everybody knows that females don't make as much as males, especially in sports. And everybody knows that this is wrong, but nothing changes unless you start a spark.

I am asking every single one of you to help me start a spark, because things need to change NOW. If you think women deserve to be paid the same as men for the same work and the same effort, then let’s work together to make it happen! TOGETHER LET'S SQUASH THE GENDER PAY GAP!!!!

My name is Mika Bardin and I'm 12 years old and currently ranked #3 in the US for GU13.

I am asking you to help me start closing the gender pay gap and finally achieve "PLAY FOR EQUAL PAY," by raising enough money to close the gap between the men and women’s prizes at the The Oracle Netsuite Squash Open. The prize for men is $100,000. The prize for women? $50,000.  If we raise $50,000 before May 1, 2018, we can make sure the prize is equal, and show the world that women players deserve to earn the same amount of prize money that men do. Women & girls play squash and train just as hard as the men & boys, so it doesn’t make sense that men should make more.

If you have a daughter, how are you going to explain to her that she won't get paid as much for working just as hard or harder than males do?

PLEASE help me raise money to change this inequality, so the women can "PLAY FOR EQUAL PAY"
