Help Yandi Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer & Save Her Life

Hi, my name is Yandi Preville, and I’m a 35-year-old single mom of two. I’m fighting Stage 4 Colon Cancer, and I desperately need your help to begin my treatment.

My Journey So Far

In May 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer after undergoing emergency surgery (a laparotomy with Hartmann's procedure and an extended left hemicolectomy). I then endured eight rounds of chemotherapy in St.Lucia thanks to the generosity of family abroad, friends and a previous GoFundMe campaign, I was able to access the care I needed as chemotherapy is not free on the island. Follow-up care also required routine Pet Scans which is unavailable on the island so I relocated to Canada.

In June 2024, I finally found an Oncologist at the Walker Cancer Center at the St.Catherines Hospital Site and had my PET scan. I received incredible news—I was cancer-free. However, by October 2024, another follow-up scan revealed the heartbreaking truth: my cancer had returned and advanced to Stage 4. A biopsy confirmed that it had metastasized to my lungs, colon, and left breast.

The Urgent Need for Treatment

Because my cancer is aggressive, I now require lifelong chemotherapy. I am unable to access treatment without paying upfront to the hospital. My oncologist has quoted $15,000 per month for my chemotherapy inclusive of additional medical fees—an amount that is simply impossible for me to afford.

Every day, I endure intense pain, radiating from my abdomen to my lower back. Despite being on two different opioids, the pain keeps me awake at night. As a mother, I fight to stay strong for my kids, but the truth is—I am in constant pain, and I’m terrified for my future.
