Be a part of this incredible project in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India. The city is famous for Arunachela Mountain, abode of Shiva in the form of fire, and the ancient Arunchelaswara temple. Millions of pilgrims visit this holy place every year. Here, you will also find the ashram of the great Advaita saint, Ramana Maharshi, which attracts visitors, seekers and practitioners from around the world.
Every day, outside the temple, Sadhvi Krishnaveni feeds hundreds of people, especially the sadhus and sahdvis, the wandering mystics whose spiritual lifestyle contribute greatly to the sacred energy field of India. Krishnaveni herself is a sadhvi who renounced worldly life at a young age to worship Lord Shiva. Since her arrival in Tiruvannamalai, she has devoted herself to a life of service.

In 2019, Krishnaveni and her partner, Siva, joined the Enlightened Life Pilgrimage Festival , the first-ever Kumbh Mela of America. She intends to make the journey, along with 39 of her fellow sadhus and sadhvis, to the sacred lands of North America for this historic event as soon as international travel and larger public gatherings are possible.
In the meantime, due to her experiences with Sri Hari Baba, the Himalayan Siddha master who is the preceptor of the pilgrimage, she has decided to create a sadhu ashram in Tiruvannamalai, dedicated to Sri Hari Baba. She is looking for affordable land and assistance to create a modest structure to house sadhus in need of a place to stay. Sadhus live simple lives and often sleep outdoors or go without food for periods of time. Krishnaveni is devoted to sustaining an ashram that can provide them with food and accommodation as they pass through during festival times.
