Eastern Kentucky Flood Victims

Hello, my name is Kevin Eversole, and I am a proud hillbilly from Hazard, KY located in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Over the past week, the place I and many others call home has been completely destroyed. Parts of towns are without power, electricity, and water. This includes the hospitals that are filled to capacity. The death total continues to rise, and so many people have lost everything they have spent their entire lives working for. The stories of people that have endured this disaster is breaking my heart and I have to find a way to help. It is human nature to help others and at this time Eastern Kentucky needs all the help it can recieve. Please throw your political views aside and be kind in this devistating time.
Anything and everything will help! My goal is to raise $5000 and to collect as many household items as I can. This includes clothes of all sizes, toys for kids, baby formulas, cleaning supplies, kitchen appliances, bathing supplies, food, water, etc. The money collected will go towards more supplies, toys for kids, food, water, and clothes for the people in need.
I know the people of this area would give the shirt off their back to someone in need, even if it was the only shirt they owned. That is just the way they were raised, and the way they will continue to raise their children. It is a tradition true to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, and one that I am very proud to be a part of. As a friend told me, "materials can be replaced, but a life can't". Please help my community and feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns!
