At 20 weeks Cody and Bryttany went in to Dawson creek hospital for their first ultrasound and were told that they found a small bump on the right side of there baby girl. They were told it was called a cistic hydroma and needed to send the paper work off to children's hospital. That very next day children hospital contacted both Bryttany and Cody. Telling them they needed to meet for an ultrasound. After children's hospital did their ultrasound they said that it was actually a rare case that they only see every 1- 3 years. It's called a cervical teratoma. The hospital gave them 3 weeks to relocate to Vancouver and live by the hospital to monitor baby. So they both had to leave their jobs and move from Fort St John to Vancouver.
It started out with visits every 2 weeks but the bump started to grow a bit faster and started growing into baby Chacye's neck so now they are doing check ups every week to monitor baby.
