Sshl Hearing loss treatment

Hi mark here on the 26th of may 2024 I went to bed fine and was woke up by the sound of severe tinnitus and when I went to get out of bed my head was very heavy like nothing was holding it followed by severe vertigo and nausea when I tried to move when I tried to walk I had no balance and was falling over so I went back to bed few Hours later got up and gotn dressed crawled downstairs for a drink lay on couch but noticed id went deaf in my left ear so I phoned my dad and I was rushed to Craigavon hospital as they feared it was a stroke I seen doctors had a CT scan and was left in a corridor in the morning i was put in a bed on a stroke ward next day i was given an MRI scan where they decided id had a stroke event but would consult other doctors following morning so the doctor then decided it was not a stroke sent me to ent where after tests i was diagnosed with sshl or sudden sensorineural hearing loss a condition that attacks the cochlear and tiny hairs in your ear the only way of saving the ear was 2 weeks of steroids followed by 3 steroid inner ear injections which brought a tiny bit of hearing back but nothing substantial my right ear also lost some hearing range also, my last hope for salvaging Any more hearing back is by hyperbaric oxygen treatment I found a place in larne n.ire that can do it but its 20sessions 1 daily for 20days to get the most benefit it's £20 per session plus it's gonna cost around £20 a day fuel as I live far from Larne, I setup this page as I'm not currently working and I can't afford this on my own, this condition has destroyed and devastated my life as one ear I hear nothing but loud tinnitus and my good ear also developed tinnitus and is now so sound sensitive it makes going to certain places so loud and uncomfortable the 24/7 tinnitus would drive you crazy I can only hear half my voice half my breath this is so distressing it's had severe effects on my mental health causing severe depression and anxiety, I would not wish this on my worst enemy, up until this I loved my life I had a rough couple of years since 2020 but in the last year I had started really loving life again my whole life is music and concerts and playing guitar which I've played 32years and my hobby is buying selling and repairing guitars now all of that seems over which is devastating to me without music I have nothing, i have 2 children that need me more than ever right now and I'm consumed by this condition, I've never setup a page like this before as ive always fended for myself but this has me beaten so if you'd like to help fund me I'd very much appreciate it, there is no guarantee it will work but it's my last option then hearing aids if you got this far thanks for reading thanks mark
