SSP "Roar & Snore" Overnight at the Safari Park!
Donation protected
Our spectacular Gage School Safety Patrol has an opportunity to go, as a group, to the "Roar & Snore" overnight camp at The San Diego Zoo Safari Park! We decided long ago that no one on our team would EVER be excluded from something like this because of money, so here we are! Please consider donating to help get all of our students to this memory-making event! All of the money raised will go directly to the event fee of $200/student. Anything extra money raised will be kept for our Safety Patrol's end of the year party or for any other events that we may have coming up!
The 2022-23 Gage Safety Patrol was one of the top patrols in the city and is made up of 21 of the most wonderful humans you will ever meet. This overnight would be a great way to celebrate all of the new friendships and great accomplishments!
What is School Safety Patrol?
The School Safety Patrol (S.S.P) program was established in 1935 by the San Diego Police Department and began with just one school. Its purpose is to assist elementary school children cross uncontrolled intersections on their way to and from school and to reduce the number of pedestrian and bicycle collisions involving elementary-aged students. They are selected, trained, and supervised on an ongoing basis by Juvenile Services Team Officers and promoted based on their performance while on patrol.
Thank you so much!!
