Family in Need

Hi, my name is Jason Hadden and I'm fundraising for my brother Derek, his fiancé Gabby, and their 3 kids Brayden, Grayson, and Silas. My brother in late Oct 2023 had an accident that fractured his skull. As of making this GoFundMe to help them out on 11/3 he's still in the ICU though he is making progress. Dr's say it might be 6-12 months if not more for him to be back to normal so I wanted to make this to help them with medical bills and make sure the boys and his fiancé are able to get the things they need while Derek is out of work for a prolonged period of time. Every little bit can help and if you can't afford it yourself I just ask that you share the page so that if there's someone that wants to help and can help will see it.

Update on Derek:

It’s been two weeks since his accident at work and one week since he’s been in the ICU. He’s currently still in the hospital, but making progress and healing little by little each day. His current complications are paralysis in the left side of his face and throat, hearing/vision problems, some difficulty walking on his own, and of course the fractures throughout his skull, face, and jaw. He is hopefully going to be discharged from the hospital and transferred to Helen Hayes on Monday, where he will be receiving PT, OT, and speech therapy, to further help him recover. He will be there for a minimum of 2-3 weeks and then hopefully he can finally come home to us. Once he’s home he will most likely continue PT, OT, and speech therapy at an outpatient rehab for however long he may need. He has a long road ahead of him, but we are just extremely thankful that he’s alive.♥️

To add to that, I wanted to express my gratitude to all of those who have donated to the GoFundMe account. I am speechless and completely moved by the kindness, generosity, and love you all have shown towards him and our family during this difficult time. I honestly cannot thank you all enough.
