St Claire’s Clinic Taraoniara

St Claire’s is a small clinic in the small village of Taraoniara providing services to many villages in the surrounding area.
The clinic is staffed by one midwife and funded by the local church. The clinic offers basic medical care and birthing services, all without functioning toilets or shower facilities or running water due to the lack of a large enough tank and adequate plumbing and pump. Patients currently walk down to the sea for washing and toileting.
We visited Taraoniara in December 2019.
$5000 will allow the community to buy a tank and pay for the pump and installation of plumbing.
