St Colmcilles India Immersion Project

Hi, My name is Abigail and I have been fortunate enough to be chosen to take part in my school, St Colmcilles, India immersion programme. This means I will be travelling with eight other students and three teachers from my school to work with school children in Panikhali on behalf of the Calcutta Connect Programme.

All money raised will go towards the trip to Panikhali and to the Calcutta Connect charity.

Any donation you can make will mean a great deal to me and will lead me one step closer to this amazing journey.

I will be hosting a coffee morning , doing a sponsored walk , gate collecting in my community and other fundraising events in order to raise the necessary funds .

Calcutta Connect works in partnership with local Indian organisations to create sustainable change through Education, Vocational Training and Community Development, empowering children and young adults to secure a better future for themselves and their families.

I am due to travel to Calcutta, India during the February midterm of 2023 and during this visit I will be volunteering in schools working with students from preschool to Leaving Certificate age and sharing my knowledge and skills with them .
