St Edmunds U14 Girls Grassroots Football Team

We are a girls grassroots football team based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and provide girls with the opportunity to get involved in football no matter their skill or ability. We are looking for support in funding water and wind resistant coats so the girls can play all year round, as well as training equipment and all necessities to get us through the season.

To help raise funds, the team are going to complete a joint virtual Iron Man Triathlon. This consists of a 2.4-mile (3.9 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.2 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.22-mile (42.2 km) run completed in that order, a total of 140.6 miles (226.3 km). The girls will split each event between them, with the plan to finish the run all together at one of our training sessions. This is no small feet for 12 and 13 year old girls, but they are committed to raising vital funds needed to participate in the sport they love, whilst spending time with their teammates, cementing the friendships that have been created both on and off the field, which as coaches we strongly support.

Any support that you can give to the girls will be greatly appreciated, and will help us to continue to encourage more girls into the sport we love.
