St. James' ASD Class Sensory Cubbie

On May 6th 2022, our school community will be taking part in a sponsored cycle, where staff and students will cycle 400km on a stationary bike - the distance from Dublin to Mizen Head, Cork! This year, Saint James' is opening a second class that caters for children with autism living in the community of Dublin 8 and surrounding areas. All proceeds raised from this sponsored cycle will go towards the fundraising for a sensory cubbie for these classes, which costs €20,000.

This cubbie would provide invaluable support to the students with autism in our school, and to our community at large. The pod would meet the regulatory needs of the students with autism in our school, allowing them to engage in their  academic lessons throughout the day. It would be a major asset for our children, but unfortunately will remain out of reach for us as a school community without the support of generous donations. You can visit the website of the company that provides these sensory cubbies if you wish to learn about them further at https://www.cubbie.ie/   Any donations would be so greatly appreciated, thank you for your support !!
