St. John Firefighter - Bobby Rodrigue
Donation protected
On Christmas Day, Bobby Rodrigue, a firefighter with the Saint John Fire Department, left his family for a call out at a house fire. With many hours under his belt, a love for life and saving it, Bobby was there within minutes and ready to enter into whatever was behind those doors. The severity of the second floor was unknown and when he opened the door a flash burn occurred, catching both of his hands on fire. He was immediately transported to Thibodaux Regional ER, then air lifted to University Hospital’s burn clinic. We still don’t know the full extent of his damages or how long recovery will be. We do know that he won’t be able to work for an indefinite period of time as both of his hands are inoperable. While being unable to work is defeating to any man, the most painful part for Bobby will be watching his nephew from a distance. He is such a hands-on, loving uncle and the bond he has with his nephew is unmatched. Please keep his recovery and spirits in your prayers, as well as his family who are by his side during this difficult time. Funds will be used for any medical expenses, to help give him a cushion while he is out of work, and to help his family.
