St John the Baptist Girls PA - Playground Upgrade

St John the Baptist girls school is an all girls primary school in Cashel, Co.Tipperary. There are currently 335 students in the school.

We, the Parent Association, hope to raise €2,000 to do new school playground markings and games areas in the junior and senior yards and to purchase new outdoor play equipment such as playhouses and mud kitchens.

The current playground markings, completed in 2015, were paid for by the Parent Association. They provided many years of fun and games for our girls and were used each and every day. These have now faded and have been disturbed by subsequent building work.

Our aim is to provide a fun, engaging outdoor space within the school for play and education. Our last gofundme in 2021 raised over €4,000 which was used to provide 5 outdoor teaching areas, including benches, blackboards, and tables to create sustainable outdoor classrooms. These have been a fantastic resource for teachers and students and are used extensively.

We would now like to further enhance the outdoor areas for the girls and redo the markings on the junior and senior yards with courts, games, snakes n ladders, and sprint tracks.

This will be a very worthwhile project for the benefit of all the girls in the school, and we would love it if you would consider making a donation to our fund.
